A short-handed Redford Union Girls Varsity Bowling team continued their winning ways, beating Robichaud High School Friday night, by forfeit, at Cherry Hill Lanes in Inkster, winning 30 out of 30 points. The Panthers won the first two games, which were bowled in the Baker format, 133 to 0 and 132 to 0. The next two games were bowled in the traditional format, with RU winning the first–546 to 0 and the second, 584 to 0. The Panthers were led by Brianna Clapham, bowling 177 and Lizzie Pigeon adding 161. The girls’ record for the season is now 8-4-1. The Panther’s next match is against Clarenceville High School on Tuesday, February 14, at 3:30p.m. at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park. The RU bowling squad is coached by David Battistelli and Roy Biggs.
