Meet Recap

Out of the 20 teams participating in the 12th Annual Wayne County Tournament, the Redford Union Girls Varsity Bowling team came in 14th place Saturday at Cherry Hill Lanes in Inkster. The first three games were bowled in traditional format and the Lady Panthers bowled a 666, 677 and 693. The next four games were in the Baker format and RU knocked down 118, 148, 113 and 116 for a 2531 series. Brianna Clapham and Alissa Elliott led the girls, each with a 161. The Panther’s next match regular season match is against Belleville High School on Tuesday, January 24, at 3:30p.m. at Lodge Lanes in Belleville. The RU bowling squad is coached by David Battistelli and Roy Biggs.
