The Redford Union Girls Varsity Bowling team continued their winning ways, beating Clarenceville High School Tuesday night at Thunder Bowl Lanes in Allen Park, winning 26.5 out of 30 points. The Panthers split the first two games, which were bowled in the Baker format, losing the first 139 to 141 and winning the next 151 to 123. The next two games were bowled in the traditional format, with RU winning the first–746 to 670 and the second, 737 to 645. The Panthers were led by Alissa Elliott, bowling 171 and Sara Pigeon adding 168. The girlsâ record for the season is now 9-4-1. The Pantherâs next match is the last match of the regular season and is on Friday, February 20, at 3:30p.m. at Cherry Hill Lanes in Inkster. Their opponent will depend upon Tuesdayâs results for both Dearborn and Annapolis. The RU bowling squad is coached by David Battistelli and Roy Biggs.
