Kenny Vadnais (pictured above with Coach Rankin and Coach Colon) had a tough route to go but managed to qualify for the MHSAA Division 2 Individual Wrestling Finals held at the Palace of Auburn Hills March 3rd through 5th. Kenny placed at the Individual District hosted by Redford Union and then advanced through the Regional
The Wrestling Team turned in some great performances Saturday in winning the Lutheran Westland Wrestling Tournament. The Panthers only lost 4 matches the entire day. Chandler Shettleroe placed second while Trevon Williams, Cameron Wells, and Ryan Philips all placed third to their weight classes. A great job by the team in bringing home the trophy.
Thursday night was an exciting time at Redford Union. Our wrestling team won the Michigan High School Athletic Association District 161-2 Wrestling tournament! The semi final match pitted RU versus Thurston High School. The Panthers downed the Eagles 39-21. The Panthers moved on to the finals against Hamtramck High School and defeated the Cosmos 48-24.
